A brown pelican turns into the last light of sunset, banking so sharply that one wing becomes a sweeping line across the frame. For one split second, everything—light, movement, timing—lands exactly where it should.

I pulled most of the color back in the lab, keeping the warm feather tones and fine detail that made the moment feel alive. The result sits somewhere between wildlife photography and graphic art—part flight, part instinct, all timing.

It’s field work. With wings.
